This fall in Ravelry I bumped into Super Sock Scarefest. It is a knit-a-long/contest where from the first of September until Halloween, a new sock pattern is released once in ten days. Except on October 1st, when there were two patterns. The inspiration of the socks came from horror fiction and the things that go bump in the night.
Megra tarvitsi toisetkin ohuet sukat. Lanka on kotoisin Hampurista, sieltä Hamburger Wollfabrikilta.
Megra needed another pair of thin socks and since she liked turtles, the combination of green, turtles and socks was no-brainer. The yarn is from Hamburg, from Hamburger Wollfabrik to be precise. The yarn feels kinda funny, but I can't complain. The yarn had a hint of purple (maybe a purple strand?) so when the green yarn ran out before cuff, I used purple yarn for it. Hence project is called Donatello. The turtle in the back of cuff looks great, btw.

Mörkömiehelle kelpasi ajatus raidallisista sukista, joissa on juju. Siinä on kuvioita.
Other pattern that ticked my boxes appeared on October 1st. On the same day another pattern was published, I even started it (but ripped that soon after). Apparently I was the only one knitting Bioraptors at all. Mörkömies liked the idea of stripy socks with a twist. It has patterns. As long as the socks would be split toe so he could use them with barefoot sandals at work.
Itse voisin todeta, että illuusioneule on mälsää. Mut sainpa valmiiksi. Ja lankavarastoa samalla pienemmäksi. Vaikka tuo Zauberball ei loppunut vieläkään.
I would say that illusion knitting sucks. But I did finish them. And managed to use stash yarn, eventhough there's still a little bit of Zauberball left.
