Niiden muiden sukkia / Socks for other people

Siskoni valmistui sairaanhoitajaksi viime syksynä ja siskon poikaystävä fysioterapeutiksi tänä keväänä. Sukkalankavaraston vähentämiseksi kumpikin sai valmistujaislahjaksi sukat. Sisko kahdet, poikaystävä yhdet.
My sis graduated as a nurse last fall and her boyfriend as a physiotherapist this spring. In order to decrease the amount of socks yarn I have, both of them received socks for graduation present. Sis got two pairs, boyfriend one. 

Arkadian Ulla on poltellut jonossa ties miten kauan. Hyvä paritus syntyi lopulta Vilmasta ja siskon lahjasta. Ohje on aika jännä, mutta hyvin kirjoitettu. Ohjeesta poiketen tein varren joustimena ainaoikean sijaan. Ja minusta tuo näyttää nyt kivemmalta.
 Arkadian Ulla has been in my queue forever. The perfect match was finally my sis present and Vilma. The pattern is rather interesting, but is written really well. I swithed the garter from the cuff to ribbing since I thought it would look better. And I think it does.

Siskon sukat, part 2. Toisena mallina puikoille päätyi Kuusenkäpy Ullasta. Tää on jopa niin kiva malli, että voisin neuloa itsellenikin. Ellen sit tee esimerkiksi oravasukkia. Joku ihme raitakausi nyt menossa... Punainen lanka on muinaista Regian galaxy-värjättyä lankaa, mikä kyllä näyttää ihan kivalta tuon harmaan Pikkusiskon kanssa. Terä on pitempi kuin ohjeessa, samati varsi. Lisäksi tein kiilalisäyksiä kantapäätä varten. 

 Sister's socks, part 2. The second pattern was Kuusenkäpy from Ulla. This was a nice pattern, I might want a pair of my own. Unless I knit the squirrel socks. For some weird reason I like stripes at the moment. The red yarn is anciet Regia Galaxy color which looks pretty nice next to the grey Pikkusisko. In these socks, the foot and cuff are longer than in the pattern and I added some sts before the heel.

Viimeisenä sitten ne uuden fysioterapeutin sukat. Viimeinen Game of Thrones ohje, House Greyjoy siis. Malli oli kiva (kuten ne kaksi aikaisempaakin), vähän piti soveltaa että pikkupalmikot sai nätiksi. Lanka on muinaista; tuo vaaleanharmaa Sisu oli hallussa jo ennen Tampereelle muuttoa. Alunperin saattoivat olla varattuna Baroque-sukkiin, jos oikein muistan. 

Lastly, the socks for the physiotherapist. Last of the Game of Thrones patterns, this time House Greyjoy. Loved the pattern (like did the previous two), but I winged a bit to make the small cables pretty. I've had the light gray Sisu before I moved to Tampere and I think originally planned to make Baroque socks out of it. But now it's gone.
